The NYT's has a story (Pentagon Plan: Buying Books to Keep Secrets) about a book titled Operation Dark Heart. The Pentegon plotted on buying and destroying 10,000 copies of it, in an attempt to keep the things that are going on in Afghanistan under the lid.
You can't buy the book, technically, but then again, you can. Right now, its #19 on the Amazon best seller list, even though it is "Temporarily out of stock" as listed.

This is the sort of waste of taxpayer money that you would think the Tea Party and deficit zealots would be up in arms over... right.
