SWS: the time has changed for come at the $10 Blog

Dear Reader,Having recently returned from time spent on location with TLC, filming the latest instalment of "Barack Obama's: The Missing States", I find myself sitting here alone in the Couric Library at Barbarian Central, sipping the final cup of skinny white to have been provided at this venue by my inquisitorial assistant Per-Ky Wan, just six days before C4P?s long awaited move to an altogether more cosmopolitan and swanky new home.Of course, it?s Sunday morning, and regulars may recall that in the days when SWS was a weekend fixture we operated on the basis that nothing is but what is not?. And what with boxes to pack and unpack and re-pack, well, to be honest Reader we?re all a bit backasswards in our musings on aspects of the week that was.Yeah, yeah, what?s new!So it occurred to this sometime weekend correspondent to lower the tone by at least calling in to say just how much it tugs at the old heart strings that, shortly, Lake Heath and the wooded lower slopes of the distant Mount Akhanista will no longer be the virtual backdrop for the Ten Dollar Blog and all things C4P .That ever mysterious blueblood, Mr X - faceless, high-up, anonymous, big city, beltway, in the know, insider-cum-benefactor - a man reputedly living somewhere in the Lower 48 or Australia, intriguingly fluent in half a dozen obscure Austrian dialects and provider of the C4P company gold card which contributors have been known to flash with gay abandon - has finally mullered up the mullah, spondulared the spondulics, lashed the lolly (folded big ones, untraceable in all 57 states, and furnished in reassuring, standard issue, backhander-brown envelopes, of course).......so, it seems, we?re off to pastures new.Home is where the heart is and parting is such sweet sorrow, though time stands still for no man when there are clichs there for the mistaking, so onwards and upwards friends. To those of you who ask where we're going, there was that strange rumor. Then there was that photograph:And she's been here again signing books.Wishful thinking, perhaps, but who was it that said "this is not the end? for the ordinary barbarians? ? It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning."Anyway, in tribute to the magnificent times we've shared in this our first home, we held a little going away concert. Welsh diva Katherine Jenkins performed, and if you watch closely you might catch a glimpse of Whitney, Stacy and Nicole strutting their stuff...gotta love those DWTS Palinbots:As a certain Right Honorable Friend From New Jersey must have realised with foresight beyond his years some little time ago, ?There is a woman at the beginning of all great things.?Here's looking at you, kid.Ten dollars well spent!PS.... lest there should be any doubt,
