Liberals Change Their Opinions About Ted Stevens to Attack Governor Palin
This rambling article from Democrat Party hack Geoffrey Dunn is a week old but the hypocrisy warrants a late response.Dunn argues that it is somehow hypocritical for Governor Palin to praise all the work that Ted Stevens did for Alaska because she called for Ted Stevens to resign after he was convicted during the 2008 election. I wonder what this Democrat Party hack will say about the fact that Joe Biden is scheduled to speak at Stevens' funeral even though his boss agreed with Governor Palin that Stevens should have resigned after his conviction. Will Dunn claim hypocrisy on the part of Barack Obama for praising Ted Stevens after his death even though he also called for his resignation after his conviction during the 2008 election? Calling for Stevens' resignation was one of the few things that the community organizer got right during the 2008 election.Dunn's incoherent article reflects just how outrageous the Democrat Party is willing to go when it comes to Governor Palin. When Ted Stevens was politically toxic, the Democrat Party tried to claim Governor Palin was extremely close to Stevens and shared his views. Now that Stevens' Alaska legacy is generally being viewed favorably because of his death, the Democrat Party is trying to claim that she was not close to Stevens and did not share his views. In other words, Democrat Party hacks will change their narrative about how close Governor Palin was to Ted Stevens as long as the change hurts Palin.Palin's adversaries needs to learn how to keep their Palin narratives consistent. Just as she cannot be an anti-oil company zealot and an oil company shill at the same time, she could not have been a Ted Stevens disciple and enemy at the same time. The truth of the matter is that Governor Palin always respected Ted Stevens but fought against him when she believed his actions fostered an over-reliance on the federal government in the state. We're more than happy to go through the many instances where Governor Palin challenged the late Senator's earmarks.
